Cinderella

For this Cinderella theme I decided to try doing stacked pillows. The bottom pillow was chocolate cake with chocolate filling covered in buttercream. The top was white cake with raspberry filling covered in buttercream. Both were decorated with fondant accents. The shoe was made out of gumpaste.

Hannah Montana Inspired

No, this is not a repeat of the last post, but the princess cake definitely inspired my next client with this Hannah Montana cake for her daughter's 5th birthday. She wanted the topsy tuvy in pink, purple, white, and black. Everything else was up to me. I made the guitar out of gumpaste and decorated it with buttercream icing. All the layers were frosted in buttercream icing and decorated with fondant.

Topsy Turvy

This was my first try at a topsy turvey cake, and I am so happy with how it turned out. This was for a princess-themed birthday for a cute 3yr old. The bottom layer was red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and the top two were butter pecan with buttercream frosting. It was topped off with a gumpaste crown and fondant accents. So fun!

Smash Cake

This small cake was meant for a 1yr olds smash cake. It was 6in and 4in tiers done in redvelvet cake and cream cheese frosting with a raspberry filling. So cute and simple, and the perfect size for a little one to dig into.

Baby boy

I did this cake for a baby shower for one of my best friends. She had given me a picture of the bedding she bought for her nursery, and I wanted to make a cake that matched. My mom and I were throwing the shower, so we based the whole thing off of that theme. The cake was butter pecan with cream cheese icing, covered in marshmallow fondant and chocolate buttercream.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

"Come inside, its fun inside!"   Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is one of my daughters favorite shows, so when I was contacted to make this cake, I was so excited. The main cake was done in white with strawberry filing, and the red part of the clubhouse was done in strawberry cake. Marshmallow fondant was used for the slide, the leg and foot, the head, the fence, and the lettering. The rest was done in vanilla buttercream.

Okay, now I know I say that every cake is my favorite, but this is just the kind of funky I love. This was 5 layers all done in white cake with strawberry filling, covered in buttercream and some fondant accents.

Teen Birthday

How pretty is lace? For this thirteen year-olds birthday I wanted to try sugar lace. Yep folks, that lace is edible, and pretty tasty actually. This was done out of chocolate and white cake, fondant and butter cream. I am going to start including how much was charged for the cakes to give you an idea of what to expect for an order.

Ladybug

Yet another girly cake that was so much fun to make. This was for my nieces 1st birthday. The whole thing was done in buttercream, with chocolate cake for the bottom layer and redvelvet for the top two, and the ladybug on top was removed for the smash cake.

Pink and Purple

I still love all things girly. This was my first attempt at a fondant bow, and I learned a few things that I would do differently. I loved how this cake turned out though. Simple and fun. One of my favorites.

Monster Mutt

Little boys and monster trucks. So fun. Meet Monster Mutt. Since I only have one little girl, it was so much fun to make this monster truck cake. The cake was chocolate and covered in buttercream. I made the details out of gumpaste, and donuts completed the wheels.

Lightening McQueen

Such a fun cake to do for my nephew! Roman's 3rd birthday was today, and he had a Cars theme. This cake was made out of chocolate cake, buttercream, and gumpaste.
