50th Birthday
Sadly I have neglected this blog and have only been updating my facebook page with recent cakes. I'm going to try and be better about this since not everybody has facebook, so there are going to be a bunch of posts to update!

Pull your hair into a side ponytail, grab your slap bracelet, and crank up the NKOTB. This bright fun cake was for a 30th surprise birthday. The tv was made out of crispy treats, and the entire thing was done in fondant. Aww yeah, party on!

Peacock Wedding Cake
I know I say every cake is my favorite, but come on....this is beautiful! I can't take credit for the design, the bride and groom had a picture of a cake they wanted a replica of. This turned out stunning and looked beautiful at the venue surrounded by all of the peacock colors.

Sushi
How stinkin' cute is this? Everything on this cake is edible, and none of it contains raw fish. Almost all the elements of this cake were made out of fondant, and the sushi rolls were sprinkled with coconut for the rice. Different and so cute!

Nightmare Before Christmas Wedding Cake
This wacky wedding cake was so much fun! It was based off of the Nightmare Before Christmas movie, complete with Jack and Sally on top. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the top and bottom tiers were done in a beautiful deep purple color. I airbrushed the middle layer to add dimention. The hill on top was molded out of crispy treats and covered in fondant. Not your typical wedding cake, but so much fun to do.
Stay tuned, I have been super busy with cakes lately so be prepared for lots of new posts!

Tinkerbell
I made this cake for my nieces 2nd birthday. The party was last minute, so I threw this together in just a day. It was one of my first attempt at gumpaste flowers, and I love it! I think it turned out so cute and my niece loved it.
Anniversary Cake
A sweet cake done for a 50th anniversary! I haven't done lace in awhile, and I have another cake coming up with it too! This was all done in fondant and the lace was sugar veil.

Castle
I'm not happy with these pictures. They just don't do this justice. This adorable castle was made for Aurora's first birthday. The towers were made out of crispy treats and gumpaste. I airbrushed the whole thing so it had a pearl sheen. Loved how this turned out. It was fit for a princess :)

Princess Ruffles
I may or may not be obsessed with buttercream ruffles after this cake. I think everyone needs a ruffle cake in their life. I love how this turned out. My favorite is the ruffles and the wand! This princess themed cake was done in red velvet with cream cheese, chocolate with chocolate buttercream, and vanilla with raspberry filling and buttercream. Yum! The crown and wand were made out of gumpaste.

Birthday
Such a fun, bright, simple cake with lots of personality! The client wanted minimal fondant, so I frosted the cake smooth with cream cheese icing. The ribbon and bow were done in gumpaste, and the lettering and dots were in fondant. I love how this turned out!

Birdies and Swirls
Love these little birdies! This sweet cake was inspired by the invitations for Lexi's first birthday. The larger cake was done in butter pecan with cream cheese frosting, and the smash cake was done in butter pecan with butter cream frosting. The cute fat birdies were made out of fondant.
